Executive Office Changes

It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that I am announcing AAL002 Marco Rivera’s departure as Chief Operations Officer, effective February 22, 2021. Over the past 2 plus years, Marco has been instrumental in many new initiatives to re-energize American Virtual and put our VA back on the list of top VA’s to choose from for new pilots. His inspiring leadership and friendship have not only left a lasting impression on me personally, but a permanent legacy at American Virtual. We would not be where we are today without his tireless dedication. Will we will miss him and his passion for the VA, we wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors!

I am pleased to announce AAL021 William Matteoni has been promoted to the position of Chief Operations Officer, effective February 23, 2021. Many, if not all of our pilots has interacted with or seen some communications William at some point during their time with the VA in the past year. He has been the glue that held the crew center together with his technical skills and is responsible for many of the custom features we all enjoy. While he is the best tech anyone can ask for, he has also been one of the main go-to persons for operations related questions and activities, which made this decision a no-brainer.
