If you haven’t had the opportunity to fly to KSAT or KCMH

for your 5,000 Bonus Premium Miles and 3 extra hours this week, you still have some time to complete the task. However, flights must be completed by 23:59 UTC today for the bonus to apply.

And yes, you are reading that correctly.
We have decided to lower the amount of AAdvantage Miles awarded for Featured Destinations.

This was not a decision we made lightly. However, with the number of events now available across American Virtual, we felt the previous 15K Miles reward for Featured Destinations was becoming disproportionate compared to the broader premium Miles structure.

The good news is that this change is part of a more consistent approach. Together with our amazing Event Coordinator, we have created a new formula to determine Miles rewards for current and future events.

This should help keep rewards fair, balanced, and consistent across the board while still giving Pilots plenty of opportunities to earn Miles through participation.

This week’s Featured Destinations are as follows:
Mainline destination: KDCA Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Regional destination: KCVG Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport

Please remember the bonus hours and miles ONLY APPLY TO ONE of the new featured destinations. Beginning this evening at 00:00z, a flight to KDCA or KCVG will earn you 15,000 Bonus Premium Miles and 3 extra hours added to your flight time. As per our usual policy, the weekly featured destination may only be flown once for the bonus and will expire next Friday, May 15, 2026, at 23:59 UTC.
