Open Staff Positions

As the Executive Staff gets more involved in other projects, we are looking for a few dedicated pilots to take over the daily responsibilities of Hub Management. 

The person in this position would be responsible for processing Pilot Reports (PIREPs) and ensuring they are submitted via an accepted source and comply with all applicable AAVA flight standards prior to approval and within 24 hours of submission. Aiding all personnel within their hub in regard to any issue related to flight operations and airline procedures.

Serving as the first-?line supervisor to screen and resolve minor personnel issues before they are sent to administration/human resources. Communicating with executive management regarding pilot conflicts/situations and working to find and implement an acceptable solution within the confines of policy and code of conduct. Issuing verbal warnings to personnel within his/her hub and ensures that verbal warnings are documented by HR in personnel files. Adheres to and promotes policy and code of conduct compliance within their hub. Reviewing applications, hiring, and terminating Hub Managers (if applicable, to their own hub) as well as other duties as assigned by Director of Hub Operations

Minimum Requirements:

– Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
– Be at least 18 years of age at time of hire, no exceptions.
– Display honesty, truthfulness, and integrity.
– Complete at least 2 flights per calendar month.
– Follow and enforce all polices set out within the Airline Operations Manual
– Not hold a staff position at any other Virtual Airline or Flying Organization.
– Be active on all communication channels (Facebook, Discord, ACARS chat, etc.)

Would Be Nice Requirements:

– Must be an active member of American Virtual 3+ months or more with no rejected PIREPS. (will be reviewed on a case by case basis and depending on previous experience)
