Max Landing Rate
To all Pilots:
Per the Airline Operations Manual (AOH) section 5.7 – Flight Procedures:
Landing rates in excess of -550 feet per minute (FPM) are subject to additional investigation prior to PIREP approval/rejection.
All Hub Managers have the authority to approve or reject a PIREP based on the results of their investigation.
We understand that glitches, slow scenery/weather loads, and other malfunctions beyond your control can happen. To help aid us in the investigation and not have your flight rejected, please enter a note in ACARS before submitting your flight if you land with a landing rate greater than -550 fpm. If you do not leave a note explaining what happened, it is likely, your flight will be rejected.
